What data we process
- Orders: name, address, email, phone, the books you buy and your chosen payment and delivery. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Accounting: order and payment records are kept for as long as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Contact form and email: what you write to us, so we can reply (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Chat: messages you send in the website chat.
Who we share data with
We never sell personal data. We use these providers, acting on our behalf or as independent payment providers:
- Zoho (website, forms, email and chat), stored in Zoho's EU data centre.
- Stripe and PayPal for payments. Card details go directly to them.
- Payhip for selling and delivering e-books with licence keys.
- Posten (Norway Post) for shipping printed books.
Some providers may transfer data outside the EEA. Where they do, this is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Cookies
The website uses cookies needed for pages, forms and chat to work. Payment providers set their own cookies on their pages. You can delete or block cookies in your browser.
Retention
Orders are kept as long as bookkeeping law requires. Enquiries are deleted when no longer needed. Newsletter addresses are deleted when you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and you may object to processing. Email us. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
